Very nice and modern restaurant. The map is clear, which doesn't have to be bad. In this case the food was very tasty and the higher price justified. The service was very friendly and attentive. Reservation is recommended.

I had lunch here during a meeting and was very satisfied. There was a delicious three-course menu and everything was very tasty. The service was extremely attentive and very friendly.

Unfortunately, we couldn't share the positive reviews. Our starters came before the aperitif and the drinks. The tables for aperitif, wine and food were too small. It quickly became uncomfortable at the cluttered table. The service also left a lot to be desired, as the next table offered a much larger selection of desserts than we were. The main course (fillet of Black Angus) was perfectly cooked with a very tasty sauce. Unfortunately, the good food is dragged down by the service. The advertised regionality was also questionable, starting with the Black Angus steak from Argentina, the salmon from the Faroe Islands or the spaghetti Aglio e Olio. We're used to better things in this price range. We were here twice. A first and a last time.

Food was good, that's it. The service ruined the evening. Aperitif came with the normal drinks and the starter after we had to wait forever. 3 waiters served our table and nobody knows what the other is doing. The next table was offered more desserts than we were. The offer for us was limited to two desserts, while others were offered all sorbets. When asked about it, the waitress said "Sorry". I expect something different in this price range! Never again.

Were there for Valentine's Day and had the 4 course Valentine's menu which was very good. Restaurant was well visited. Restaurant is located in one of the rare beautiful corners in the courtyard, in the evening blue-lit Freiheitshalle.

As good as it gets in Hof. I stopped here by accident (there is no other reason to stop in Hof, some people are unfortunate enough to live there though). I did not regret it. Situated in a rather nice hotel the place has an attractive ambience and probably is kind of 2008 avantgarde for Hof. It fits well. The menu is well sorted, has some local meats and makes good efforts to be seasonal. I enjoyed the execution even though I would recommend sizing down at least the desserts. I even more enjoyed the price which was rather moderate for the comparatively posh (again: Hof) place. If you are unfortunate enough to have to be in Hof you may choose this place to make things a bit more bearable.
